Foundation Bolt Set

The foundation bolt set anchors the base frame (or the embedded legs) to the concrete foundation. Supplied as a matched set, it is cast into the foundation at exact spacing so the crane bolts down plumb.

Construction

High-strength threaded rods or U-bolts, hot-dip galvanised, supplied with nuts, washers and, where required, positioning templates. Grade and size are matched to the crane's foundation loads.

Role on the crane

The bolts hold the base frame down against uplift and shear and keep the whole machine correctly seated and level on the foundation.

Inspection and maintenance

• Verify projection length, spacing and verticality before the pour.
• Check threads for damage and re-torque to the specified value before erection.
• Re-check tightness after the first working cycles and keep the threads protected from corrosion.
